Resources
By conducting research, we discover what strategies
most effectively move people toward choosing healthy behaviors.
Using these tactics, we are most likely to make a difference
that will eventually be evident in population health statistics.
Then, we develop strategies for helping local leaders—who
have direct knowledge of the places where people live, learn,
work, and play—apply those strategies to building Healthy
Places. We have resources (listed below) that are available
to help local leaders in their efforts.
K-State Research & Extension's Community
Health Institute (CHI) stays abreast of what resources are
available through other organizations
and creates new resources that support people who want to develop
healthy places. Of these resources, which include products
and connections to people, the connections to people are the
most vital. Our staff work with area, community, and place-based
leaders who want to lead their groups towards improved health.
