Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance is a government-wide compendium of Federal

to the American public. It contains financial and nonfinancial assistance programs
administered by departments and establishments of the Federal government.

Community
Foundations of America (CFA)
CFA was founded in 1999 by a group of community
foundation leaders who recognized the need to better manage
the challenges created by the new business landscape. Charter
foundations knew that community foundations could maximize
results by supporting each other and sharing ideas and resources.
CFA is driven by a collaborative approach that increases return
and reduces research and development as well as product development
costs for subscribers.

Grantsmanship Center
The Grantsmanship Center features a daily digest of Federal Register and other
federal funding information resources, as well as a database of community foundations
by state.

Forum on Community and National Service
Community foundations can help address serious social problems in your community
and be a catalyst for community problem-solving. Before asking for funds, you
might want to get some ideas from "Profiles of Success: Community Foundations
in Service to Communities," published by the Grantmaker Forum on Community

The National Child Care Information Center has gathered a helpful list of funding
sources and ideas for funding child care. Thanks to the Children's

Department of Justice
OJJDP provides two online resources that make it easy to stay informed of all
OJJDP funding opportunities. Visit OJJDP's website often and click on the "Grants
and Funding" prompt.
Also, subscribe to JUVJUST, OJJDP's electronic
mailing list. As a listserv member, you will receive notices via
e-mail. Announcements about grants and funding opportunities, publications,
upcoming conferences, and other news are posted several times a week.

Health Foundation — Community Recognition Grants
Sponsor: Kansas Health Foundation
Purpose: To grant $25,000 one-time grants to communities; emphasis is now on
youth-related preventive programs Application and technical assistance: Applications
are accepted twice a year, in September and March.
